Harriet Josephine Pilny

Harriet “Auntie” Pilny, 72, of Coloma passed away Saturday, June 20, 2015 at her residence. Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10 A.M. on Friday, June 26, 2015 at St. Joseph Catholic Church, 220 Church St., St. Joseph, with Father Jim Morris officiating. Burial will follow at a later date. Friends may visit on Thursday, June 25, 2015 from 5 P.M. until 8 P.M. with a Rosary reciting at 7:30 at Starks and Menchinger Chapel and Cremation Services, 2650 Niles Rd., St. Joseph.  Memorial contributions may be made to Lake Michigan Catholic Schools. Harriet married the love of her life, Donald Pilny, on October 5, 1968 in Chicago, IL. Harriet has always been a people person. She loved to go out in the community and attended events. She was most happy spending time with her family and friends.  If she wasn’t with her family or friends, Harriet could be found at the Casino playing her favorite slots. Harriet is survived by her husband, Don Pilny, of Coloma; sister Theresa (Michael) Perrino of St. Joseph; godchildren and nieces Kristen Perrino of St. Joseph and Rhonda Smith of Largo, FL. Harriet was preceded by her parents and her brother, Victor Parzygnat.
