R. Raymond Ropp, 96, of Kingston, NY passed away on May 22, 2014 at Health Alliance Hospital in Kingston, NY.
Burial has taken place at Riverside Cemetery in Dowagiac. Starks & Menchinger Chapel and Cremation Services of St. Joseph, MI handled the arrangements. Those wishing to leave an online condolence may do so at www.starks-menchinger.com.
Raymond was born on July 9, 1917 to Royal and Melissa (Garling) Ropp in Dowagiac, MI. On October 7, 1944 he married Viola Warmbein at St. Peter’s Church in St. Joseph, MI. Before moving to NY in 1955 he worked for the Round Oak Stove Company and Kaiser-Frazer Corporation in Dowagiac. He retired in 1982 from Charles Ramsey Corporation and was a member of the B.P.O.E.
He is survived by his daughter and son-in-law, Linda and Stanley Malinowski of NY.
Raymond was preceded in death by his wife, Viola and brother Kenneth.
