Charlene “Char” Knapp, 56, of Stevensville, went to be with her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on Friday, February 28, 2014 surrounded by her loving family.
A Celebration of Life Service will be held 1:00 P.M. Monday, March 3, 2014 at Starks & Menchinger Chapel & Cremation Services 2650 Niles Rd. St. Joseph, with Pastors Mike & Jill Schoeplein officiating. Burial to follow at Spring Run Cemetery. Friends may visit from 5:00 P.M. until 7:00 P.M. Sunday, March 2, 2014 at the funeral home. Char was born April 14, 1957 in Watervliet, MI to Homer & Romie (George) Mullins. She graduated from Coloma High School in 1975. On February 11, 1978 she married John Knapp Jr. in Coloma, MI. Char worked in sales at Ausco Products for 10 years where she truly loved working with her Ausco and Cypress family. She was a member of Road to Life Church in St. Joseph. She enjoyed participating in the BSF Bible Study Group. Char loved spending time with her family and friends and will be dearly missed by all who knew her.
She is survived by her loving husband of 36 years John; daughters Heather Knapp of Bridgman and Melissa (Brandon) Varo of Berrien Springs; siblings Becky Rose of Coloma, Brenda (Gary) Yerington of Eau Claire, Jimmy (Marla) Mullins of Hartford, Russell (Charla) Mullins of Coloma, Cathleen (Tom) Fuller of Hartford, Steven (Tonya) Mullins of Hartford and Michael (Laura) Mullins of Watervliet; and numerous nieces, nephews, and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents, and her siblings Joyce Freeman, Benny Mullins, Alan Mullins and Kattie Allen.
