Myrtle's Obituary

Myrtle P. Hill, 83, of Stevensville, passed away unexpectedly on Thursday, August 20, 2009 at her home. A Celebration of Life Funeral Service will be held at 10:30 A.M. on Saturday, August 22, 2009 at Starks and Menchinger Funeral Home, 2650 Niles Rd, St. Joseph, MI with Pastor Richard Kiser officiating. Burial will follow at North Shore Memory Gardens, Hagar Twp. Visitation with the family will be prior to the start of the service from 9:30 A.M. to 10:30 A.M. on Saturday at the funeral home. Myrtle was born on May 8, 1926 to David and Nann (King) Hall in Kennett, Missouri. She married the love of her life, Leamon R.L. Hill on November 23, 1944 in Leachville, Arkansas. Together, they raised a son, Larry and a daughter, Karen. Myrtle was employed at Paramount Die cast in Stevensville until retiring in 1984. She was a member of the Twelve Corners General Baptist Church for many years. Myrtle loved quilting, baking, gardening, being a homemaker and most of all, her family who will miss her very much. Myrtle is survived by her son and daughter, Larry (Marilyn) Hill of Benton Harbor, Karen (Stephen) Dye of Stevensville; A brother, Clyde (Ann) Hall of St. Joseph; Grand-children, Larry Hill Jr., Timothy (Dana) Dye, Carrie Milstead, Paul (Mindy) Dye and Scott Allers; Great Grand-children, Tyler, Cassy, Colin, Katie, Kylie, P.J., Colby, Stephanie, Aiden and Emma; and several nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by her husband, Leamon R.L. Hill in 1985; Her parents, David and Nann; Her brothers, Donald, Billy, Edgar, Melvin Louis, Everette, David and her sisters, Beatrice, Mary Lou and Clemmie.
