Maxie Laverne Raines , April 25, 1914 – August 23, 2009
“He who dwells in the shelter of the Most High will rest in the shadow of the Almighty.
I will say of the Lord, “He is my refuge and my fortress, my God, in whom I trust.” PSALM 91:1-2
With long life will I satisfy him And show him my Salvation.” PSALM 91:16
When the angels lifted Maxie into heaven, her spiritual eyes were filled with the presence of God. The eternal truths of wisdom held in the universe and all its Glory were revealed to her. Eternity is home at last. Perpetual peace and rest encompasses her soul as promised in God’s Word.
The exemplary witness of her living testimony is the remnant of her humanity to those she touched for Christ.
Her sweet spirit was transparent and became the evidence of her loving commitment to witness her faith, extended church family and an utmost sincere personal testimony to whomever came into her presence. Her kindness and words of encouragement came from her heart with the honor surrendered to her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ.
Her Children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren are changed with the discipline of her faith, a foreboding inheritance to translate through their lives. What a glorious challenge implanted into your beings to carry her innate beliefs to the sick, the downtrodden, the unrelenting world of darkness that has no light. May God grant you His favor as you live under the umbrella of her legacy and your memories.
With loving memories of a woman of faith, and thankfulness for her life, wrapped in prayers,
Shirley and Bob Gregory
