Annabelle was born in Ann Arbor, MI on February 9, 1919 to Charles and Blanche Henderson. She married her husband, Albert on January 31, 1939 in South Bend, IN. Together, they raised two sons, Richard and Charles. In her younger married years, she worked as a volunteer at Memorial Hospital in St. Joseph. She then moved on to work for many years at the old “Bizer’s” (now Van’s) Drug Store in St. Joseph where she enjoyed the people as much as the job. She and Al enjoyed many years in various local square dance clubs and the many acquaintances that they made. She was one of the worlds most avid cat lovers and was especially fond of Siamese cats, as they were her constant companions most of her adult life. Annabelle will be missed by those lives that she has touched. Annabelle is survived by her sons, Rich (Norma) Carpenter of St. Joseph and Chuck (Ann) Carpenter of Stevensville; a cousin, Alice Harness of St. Joseph; 3 grand-children and 4 great grand-children. She was preceded in death by her parents, Charles and Blanche.
