Margaret's Obituary
Margaret Elizabeth Wolf, 94, of St. Joseph passed away on August 15, 2009 at Lakeland Regional Medical Center.
A Christian Celebration of Life service will be held on Friday, September 4, 2009 at 2:30 pm at the First Congregational Church, 2001 Niles Rd., St. Joseph with the Rev. Dr. Robert Braman presiding. Burial will be at Forest Lawn Cemetery in Detroit, Michigan. Memorials may be made to Hospice At Home, Berrien County Cancer Service and the St. Joseph Lincoln Senior Center. Margaret was born on May 19, 1915 in Detroit, Michigan to Catherine and William Alward. She graduated from Detroit Eastern High School. She was a member of the Tennis Club and an ROTC Sponsor. She was a member of Bethany Lutheran Church. She was a member of the Ace High Bridge Club. She Married John Arthur Rieck and together they had three children. John died in 1957. In 1960, she married George Wolf. They had a long happy life together till his death in 1994.
Survivors include her daughter Kathryn (Gary) Lulenski, her sons David Rieck, and Kerry (Sherri Stein) Rieck; five grandchildren Kristen (Jon) Wallace, Bryan (Shannon) Smith, Jason (Susan) Smith, Tiffany Rieck and Denise Demarino; three great-grandchildren, Joshua, Sam and Andrew Wallace.
Preceded in death by a grandson Bradley John Smith, Margaret was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. Margaret loved life, people, animals, flowers, and social gatherings. She was a delightful woman, who will be missed by all who knew her. We made sure she had her lipstick on for her final journey.
