A celebration of her eternal life will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Tuesday, July 7, 2009, at Starks and Menchinger Family Funeral Home, 2650 Niles Road, St. Joseph with Pastor Gerald Schroer officiating. A visitation will be held prior to the service from 1:00 until 2:00 p.m. with burial following at Ruggles Cemetery in Baroda. Lillian was born on February 3, 1924, in Harvey, Illinois to Theodore and Anna (Demokowski) Sieroslawski, along with six brothers and a sister. She later married Edward Heyn on October 19, 1940 in Stevensville, MI. Together they raised five children on the Heyn Family homestead. After many years of helping with the farming, she took a job at Shepherd Casters as an inspector and retired after 29 years. She worked hard in the grapes, baled hay and helped to get crops in. Gardening, bird watching and working in her flower beds was her joy. She hosted many family events and reunions at the farm and entertained us with her accordion. She will be greatly missed by her family. Lillian is survived by her two daughters, Ann (Michael) Duensing of St. Joseph and Patricia (John) Paydo of Birmingham, AL and her son, Robert (Mabel) Heyn of Baroda. She is also survived by two brothers, Robert of Florida and Donald of South Carolina, and 11 grand children and 14 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, two sons, one daughter, four brothers and one sister.
