John J. Pavlos

John Joseph Pavlos, Jr., 68, of St. Joseph, Michigan, passed away on March 27, 2009 at his home. John was born to John Pavlos, Sr. and Helen (Kazienko) Pavlos on November 14, 1940 in Steubenville, OH. John worked for many years at the Chicago Mercantile Exchange. John is survived by his daughter, Carole (Jack) Loane, his grandson, Spencer Loane, granddaughter Morgann Loane, two sisters, Helen M. Pavlos and Cecilia B. (Eugene) Gavel as well as Carole’s mother, Marie Pavlos. He resided with his loving companion Dianne Beatty. He was preceded in death by his father, mother and wife Donna (Davis) Pavlos. A loving father and grandfather, John loved to be around people and was a generous and caring person. An avid golfer and life-long Packers fan, he was always quick with a joke. John will be missed by all those whose lives he touched. Visitation will be held Tuesday, March 31st from 10:00-11:30 a.m. followed by a brief service at Starks and Menchinger Family Funeral Home, 2650 Niles Rd., St. Joseph, MI. A visitation will also be held Wednesday, April 1st from 4:00-8:00 p.m. at Chapel Hill Gardens West in Oak Brook Terrace, IL. A funeral service will be held on Thursday, April 2nd at 11:00 a.m. at Chapel Hill Gardens West Funeral Home with the interment following the service. In lieu of flowers and plants, memorial donations may be made to the American Diabetes Association.
