Dorothy A. Foll, 96, of St. Joseph, passed away Sunday, April 5, 2009 at Whitcomb Towers in St. Joseph. < A Celebration of Life Service will be held at 11:30 A.M. Wednesday, April 8, 2009 at Starks & Menchinger Family Funeral Home, St. Joseph, with Rev. Franz Brandenburg officiating. Entombment will follow at North Shore Memory Gardens in Coloma. Friends may call beginning at 10:30 A.M. Wednesday at the funeral home. Memorials may be made to St. Peter's Church in St. Joseph. Those wishing to share a memory or sign the guest book online may do so at www.starks-menchinger.com. Mrs. Foll was born August 6, 1912 in St. Joseph to Fred & Dora (Dembrock) Heppler. She graduated from St. Joseph High School in 1930. Dorothy was employed at Cooper-Wells in St. Joseph, and later managed Lerner's Dress Shops in Grand Rapids & Kalamazoo. On January 10, 1948, she married Harold Foll in St. Joseph. Dorothy was a member of St. Peter's Church where she served as pianist, choir member, choir director and a member of the Ladies Auxiliary. She was also a member of St. Joseph Elks #541-Lady Elks and a member of the Elks Emblem Club. In her spare time, Dorothy enjoyed golf & walking. Dorothy is survived by her husband of sixty-one years-Harold; two daughters-Autumn (Peter) Chamberlain of Windemere, FL, Carla (Arnie) Palanca of Kalamazoo, MI; seven grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; and two great-great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by three brothers-William, Fritz, and Harold Heppler.
