Anna M. Gober

Anna M. Gober, 70, of St. Joseph passed away Wednesday, May 20, 2009. A Celebration of Life Service will be held at 10:30 A.M. Wednesday, May 27, 2009 at St. Bernard Catholic Church, 555 Delaware in Benton Harbor with Father William J. Jacobs officiating. Friends may call from 9:00 A.M. until 10:30 A.M. Mrs. Gober was born February 17, 1940 in Whiteville, Louisiana to Horace & Selivena (Prudhomme) Ben. Mrs. Gober worked as a Paraprofessional Educator for the Benton Harbor School District for over 25 years. Mrs. Gober was also a nurse working in Grand Rapids and Memorial Hospital in St. Joseph. In her spare time she enjoyed traveling, plants, talking on the phone, baking (everyone love her banana bread and biscuits), collecting antique and was a mother to everyone. Mrs. Gober is survived by her mother Selivena Ben of South Haven; two sons Victor (Teresa) Gober of Virginia and Charles Gober Jr. of Grand Rapids; five grandchildren, Leilani, Carlos, Phelipe, Pierre, Samuel Valme seven brothers & Sisters Audrey Wire of Louisiana, Mary Smith of Benton Harbor, Alary Ben, Bobby Batton, Sheriann Ben, Priscilla Ben and Jacqueline Ben all of South Haven. Mrs. Gober is preceded in death by her father Horace Ben and brother Louis Ben.
