Katherine L. (Harmon) Bohannon, 80, formerly of St. Joseph, MI died at her home in West Helena, AR, on Thursday, April 30, 2009. Arrangements have been entrusted with Starks and Menchinger Family Funeral Home, St. Joseph, MI. A Celebration of Life Service will be held on Wednesday, May 6, 2009, 1:00pm, at the Starks and Menchinger Family Funeral Homeg. Burial will follow at North Shore Memory Gardens, Coloma, MI. Visitation is also on Wednesday from 11:00am-1:00pm at the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made to the donor’s choice. She came to the St. Joseph area in 1952 and relocated to West Helena in 1990. Katherine was employed as a bookkeeper at Twin City Glass Company in Benton Harbor and retired in 1990. Katherine is survived by her two sons, Barry Harmon of St. Joseph and Ted (Diane) Harmon of Slidel, LA; eight grandchildren; 11 Great Grandchildren; 1 Great Great Grandchild; and two brothers, Robert (Sarah) Scott of Lexa, AR and Alvin (Faye) Scott of Elk Grove, CA. She is preceded in death by her parents-Virgil and Rosa Lee, her first husband-Carthel Harmon, her second husband-Clinton Bohannon, and a sister.
