Marjorie's Obituary
Marjorie “Madge” Marie Strzynski, 77, of St. Joseph, passed away on Saturday, April 18, 2009 at Lakeland Regional Medical Center, St. Joseph. A Celebration of Life Catholic Service will be held at 1:30 PM, on Wednesday, April 22, 2009 at Starks & Menchinger Family Funeral Home, 2650 Niles Rd., St. Joseph, MI with Msgr. Michael Osborn as celebrant. A visitation with the family will an hour prior to the service from 12:30 PM to 1:30 PM at the funeral home. A funeral luncheon will be served at the Rose Center afterwards. Her ashes will be buried at Riverview Cemetery at a later date. Memorial donations may be made to American Cancer Society. Marjorie ‘Madge’ Strzynski was born on August 27, 1931 in Benton Harbor, MI to Max and Helen (Looft) Miney. She graduated from Seneca High School in Seneca, IL. She retired from educational sales at Heath Company in Benton Harbor after working with them for 20 years. She married her loving husband, Norbert on January 27, 1951 in St. Joseph. Together, they raised three children, Bob, Joan and Jim. Marjorie was an avid reader and skilled gardener. Most of all, she enjoyed spending time her family.
Marjorie is survived by her husband, Norbert; a daughter, Joan Strzynski of Tucson, AZ; son, Jim Strzynski of St. Joseph; a sister, Mickey of St. Joseph and a brother, Otto of Massachusetts, and several nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by her son, Bob on July 20, 2008; recently her sister, Chris in February 2009; siblings, Lucille, Betty, Mildred, Charlie and Richard; and her parents.
