Elva's Obituary
Elva “Jo” Dietrich, 91, formally of Orchard Lake, Michigan died Thursday January 1, 2009 at Woodland Terrace in Bridgman.
A Celebration of Life Service will be held at 11:00 AM Monday at the First Congregational Church 2001 Niles Ave, St. Joseph, officiated by Rev. Dr. Robert Braman. In lieu of flowers the family has requested memorials to Hospice at Home, Citadel Dance & Music Center or Charity of your Choice. Elva was born on August 2, 1917 in Wheeling, W.V. to Carl & Ada (Walters) Dotta. She was a graduate of Salem High School and worked for many years as a secretary in the accounting profession. She married Paul William Dietrich on May 10 1941 in Woodsfield, OH.
Elva enjoying gardening, bridge, crossword puzzles, was an outstanding homemaker and loving grandmother. She was a member of the First Congregation Church in St. Joseph.
She is survived by her daughter Susan (Steven) Dietrich-Reed of St. Joseph, two grandsons Jonathan and Alexander both of St. Joseph
She was preceded in death by her husband, Paul in 1989, son John in 1979, one sister Ruth Trembly and two brothers Charles Dotta and Ray Dotta.
