Paul F. Bishop

Paul F. Bishop, 67, of Stevensville, Michigan, passed away after a short battle with Cancer on Sunday, March 22, 2009 at Woodland Terrace, Bridgman. A Celebration of Life Service will be held at 10:00 AM, Wednesday, March 25, 2009 at Starks & Menchinger Family Funeral Home, 2650 Niles Rd., St. Joseph, MI with Rev. Billy Long officiating. Burial will be at Lincoln Township Cemetery in Stevensville. Friends may visit with the family on Tuesday from 5:00 to 7:00 PM at the funeral home. Paul was born on April 20, 1941 to Paul and Mary Lucille (Mason) Bishop in Batesville, AR. He worked at Shepherd Casters in St. Joseph for 25 years. He married, the late, Peggy (Palmer) Bishop in Benton Harbor on February 19, 1964. Together, they raised a son, Michael. Paul was an avid outdoorsman who loved fishing, hunting. He was a great cook and gardener and loved playing video golf. He deeply loved his grandson and his siblings. Paul is survived by his grandson, Andrew “Andy” Bishop of Stevensville; his brothers, Noah “Benny” (Regina) Bishop, David (Deanie) Bishop of Charlotte, AR, a sister, Janie (Leroy) Scribner of Batesville, AR; and several nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by his wife, Peggy on June 18, 2006; his son, Michael in 2007; and his parents, Paul and Mary.
