Jennifer R. Edwards, 36, of Sodus, passed away Saturday, January 31, 2009, at Lakeland Hospital in St. Joseph. A Memorial Service will be held at 11:00 A.M. Friday, February 6, 2009 at Starks & Menchinger Family Funeral Home, 2650 Niles Rd., St. Joseph with Fr. William Jacobs officiating. Friends may call from 9:00 A.M. until 11:00 A.M. on Friday, February 6, 2009 at the funeral home. Memorials may be made to the Activities Department at Lakeland Specialty Hospital in Berrien Center or to the Special Olympics. She graduated from Blossomland Learning Center in 1999. Jennifer worked at Lakeland Specialty Hospital in Berrien Center. In her spare time she enjoyed volunteering at Berrien Center, playing bingo, socializing, needlework and especially bowling and NASCAR. Her favorite driver was Jimmy Johnson. Jennifer also won gold in the Special Olympics. Jennifer is survived by her parents Thomas & Martha Edwards of Sodus; one brother Thomas (Gina) Edwards of Sodus; two sisters Merry (Steve Case) Edwards of St. Joseph and Dona Barnwal of Muskegon; nieces and nephews Thomas Aaron Edwards, Allison (Brian) Kniebes, Kaylee Edwards, Sam Hughes, Maurice Edwards and Bianca (Matt) Robertson; and many special friends.
