Darrell's Obituary
Darrell G. Struble, 51, of St. Joseph, passed away on Friday, January 9, 2009, at Lakeland Regional Medical Center, St. Joseph.
A Celebration of Life Service will be held on Tuesday, January 13, 2009, at 11:30 A.M. at The Chapel EFC, 4250 Washington Ave., St. Joseph, with Reverend Richard Grom officiating. Visitation will be on Monday, January 12, from 6:00-8:00 P.M. at Starks & Menchinger Family Funeral Home, 2650 Niles Rd., St. Joseph. Burial will be in Riverview Cemetery, St. Joseph. Darrell was born on August 23, 1957, in Benton Harbor, adopted by Vern and Juanita (Schultz) Struble. He married Andrea Putnam on October 23, 1992 in St. Joseph. Darrell was a salesman for Frito Lay. He studied Scripture, taught himself Greek, Hebrew, Bible prophecy, and taught Sunday School at The Chapel. He was a member of Calvary Chapel Sunset Coast, Benton Harbor. Darrell studied Biblical Studies through Liberty University, Virginia. He was interested in music and played the trumpet and was a drum major. He enjoyed martial arts, Royal Rangers, camping, and the outdoors. He also enjoyed playing volleyball, the beach, and having picnics. Darrell was a voice for the Lord, a friend to all, a conversationalist, and a debater.
He is survived by his wife, Andrea; children, Kimberly Struble and Meredith Struble, both of Niles, Gordon Putnam of Ohio, and Christianna Yost, KateLynn Putnam, and Rachel Struble, all of St. Joseph; grandchildren, Seth, Lillian, Arrianna and Allexis; a sister, Katherine (Jim) West of Florida; and an uncle, Ray (Lynn) Struble of Coloma; several nephews, many cousins, extended family, and close friends.
Darrell was preceded in death by his parents and uncles, Faye Struble and Vay Struble.
