Frances Kozma

Frances (Tucker) Kozma, 90, of St. Joseph, passed away Thursday, November 20, 2008 at Lakeland Regional Medical Center in St. Joseph. A Celebration of Life Service will be held at 1:00 P.M. Monday at Starks & Menchinger Family Funeral Home, 2650 Niles Rd., St. Joseph. Friends may call from 11:00 until 1:00 P.M. prior to the service on Monday. Burial will follow the service at Calvary Cemetery. Memorial donations may be made to the Frances Kozma Family. Frances worked as a cashier at National and Leonards, an assistant manager at A.P. and she also owned a fruit farm. Frances married Charles Kozma on August 17, 1934 in St. Joseph, MI. She was a member of the Coloma American Legion Auxillary. One of her favorite pastimes was bowling and spending time with family. Frances is by her four children Carol (Glen) Wilkens of St. Joseph, MI; Charles (Carol) Kozma of Davenport, FL; Rosalie (Kenneth) Hansen of Stevensville, MI and Susan Kozma of Avon Park, FL. She is also survived by 15 grandchildren, 24 great grandchildren and 7 great great grandchildren. Frances was preceded in death by her father Frank Tucker; her mother Clara (Stimley) Tucker and her husband Charles Kozma. She was also preceded in death by her daughter Jeannette LaVanway; a grandson Brian LaVanway; five brothers, John, Arthur, Chet, Franklin and Terry and four sisters, Genevieve, Margaret, Evelyn and Helen.
