Mary Katherine Conklin

Mary Katherine (Robbinson) Conklin, 91, of St. Joseph, died Thursday October 16, 2008 at Lakeland Specialty in Berrien Center. A celebration of life visitation will be held on Sunday, October 26th from 1:00 p.m. until 2:00 p.m. at Starks-Menchinger Funeral Home, 2650 Niles Rd., St. Joseph. Mary attended Moody Bible College. She worked many years as a phone operator for Goshen Telephone. She was a devoted mother who enjoyed her children and tending to her lawn and floral gardens. Mary was married to Lester Conklin in Oxnard, CA on July 14, 1945. She is survived by her two sons, Carl (Lillian) Conklin of Covina, CA and Kevin Conklin of St. Joseph, MI and a daughter Kimberly (Carl) Cudlitz of Bridgton, ME. She is also survived by three sisters, Hazel (Jessie) Hodges of Parkville, MI.; Flora Mae Cornwell of White Pigeon, MI.; and Helen Marie Kirkpatrick of Cave Creek, AZ and one brother Irving (Sharon) Comstock, JR. of Cave Creek, AZ. Mary is survived by 10 grandchildren and 12 great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents Irving Comstock, Sr. and Minnie (Wysong) Comstock; her husband Lester Conklin; a son Ronald Conklin; a brother Albert Wysong and a sister Annabelle Comstock.
