Richard's Obituary
Richard (Jack) Weber, Jr., 79, of St. Joseph, passed away Wednesday, October 15th, 2008 at his home.
A Celebration of Life Service will be held at 10:00 A.M. Saturday at Trinity Lutheran Church, 619 Market St., St. Joseph. Burial will follow at North Shore Memory Gardens. Friends may call from 4:00 until 7:00 P.M. Friday at Starks & Menchinger Family Funeral Home, 2650 Niles Rd., St. Joseph. Memorial donations may be made to Trinity Lutheran Church. Jack was born on February 14, 1929 in Chicago, Illinois. Jack attended Purdue University. He was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church and formerly was on the Board of Directors of the Twin Cities Area Credit Union. Jack worked as the Quality Control Manager for 20 years at V-M Manufacturing; 10 years at Shepherd Products and 10 years at Modern Plastics. Jack was also an army veteran.
Jack enjoyed woodworking, cottage days and time spent with family. He will be remembered for his beautiful example of Christian love in his marriage to Grace and his jovial, teasing bantor with those who knew him.
Jack is survived by his wife of 55 years Grace Oetter, whom he married on August 15, 1953 in Chicago, Illinois. He is survived by his two daughters Marjorie Sue (James) Barlas of Allegan, MI and Barbara Ann (Kelly) Duff of Spring Lake, MI. and his five grandchildren Kevin, Patrick, Molly, Emily and Julie. He was preceded in death by his father Richard John Weber, Sr. and his mother Elma Auch.
