Robert Charles Sommerfeldt

Robert “Bob” Sommerfeldt, Jr., born September 14, 1960, passed away peacefully at home on August 16, 2008, with his family & friends after a battle with cancer. Bob grew up on the family farm on Benton Center Road and loved being a farmer. He was well known for his sweet corn. He continued farming until his death. Bob’s passions were Blues Music & fishing. He could fish all day. He was in his “quiet place” he used to say. He told his family he wanted to “sleep with the fishes” and now he can do that. He was a wonderful guy with a huge heart. Bob’s father Bob Sr. and sisters Sandi and Rhonda want to thank all the friends that visited Bob Jr. and offered help to his family. Bob’s father & sisters will have an open house at the farm on Friday, August 22, 2008 from 4:00 until 7:00 P.M. Please make any memorials to Bob’s family.
