Adeline Amelia Wells February 28, 1919-August 8, 2008 IN LOVING MEMORY Adeline Wells, 89, passed away at her daughter’s residence in Stockton, CA, surrounded by her loving family on August 8, 2008. A Celebration of Life Service will be held on Friday, August 15, 2008, at 2:00 P.M., at Starks and Menchinger Family Funeral Home, 2650 Niles Rd., St. Joseph, MI 49085 with Rev. Gordon Barry officiating. There will be a time of visitation from 1:00-2:00 P.M. prior to the service at the funeral home. Adeline’s final resting place will be at North Shore Memory Gardens following the service. Memorial donations may be made in Adeline’s name to Hospice at Home of San Joaquin, CA. Adeline was a long-time resident of Berrien County, MI before relocating to Stockton, CA, following her husband Donald Lyman Wells’ death in November, 1979. Mrs. Wells owned and operated a beauty salon in Stevensville and the Village Salon in Berrien Springs, MI for over 40 years. She was an avid reader and wonderful gardener, but she believed her greatest accomplishment was her family. She leaves behind her daughters, Sandra Wells with grandsons Alexander and Thomas Wells of Stockton CA and Marian Bynum and grandson Steven Shearer of Greenwood, AR; son, Donn Wells of Stockton, CA; grandson James Shearer and granddaughter Roxann Shimizu of Stockton CA; one great-grandson Dakota Shearer also of Stockton; brothers: Ed Eglinsdoerfer of Ann Arbor, MI, and Carl Eglinsdoerfer of Niles, MI; sisters: Marian Stiles of Berrien Springs, MI, and Mary Braman of East Jordan, MI; and by many nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, Adeline was preceded in death by her husbands, Donald Lyman Wells and Doyle Douglas Bynum; her brothers, Walter and Harry Eglinsdoerfer; and sisters, Freida Wydner and Helen Jonatzke.
