Fay E. Granger

Fay E. Granger, 89, of St. Joseph, passed away Saturday, September 27, 2008 at Lakeland Continuing Care St. Joseph. A Celebration of life Service will be held at 3:00 P.M. Tuesday at Starks & Menchinger Family Funeral Home, 2650 Niles Rd., St. Joseph . Burial will follow at North Shore Memory Gardens . Friend May call from 2:00 P.M. until 3:00P.M. Mrs. Granger was born May 26, 1919 in St. Joseph, MI to Charles & Elsie (Herrman) Brunson. She graduated from St. Joseph High School in 1937. On October 12, 1940, she married Donald Granger in St. Joseph . He preceded her in death on December 12, 1977. Fay worked for the Unemployment office for over 30 years. Mrs. Granger was a member of St. Peters United Church of Christ. In her spare time she enjoyed spending time with her family, going out to eat with friends, bingo, traveling, crocheting and many trips to the casino. Mrs. Granger is survived by her sister Jane (George) Krieger of Watervliet; Niece Karen (Paul) Nickels of Coloma; two Nephews Ken (Margaret) Krieger of Benton Harbor and Keith (Caryn) Krieger of Coloma; and many great nieces and nephews. In addition to her husband she was preceded in death by her parents.
