Leroy William Frobel

LeRoy William Frobel, 81, of St. Joseph, passed away Saturday, September 27, 2008 at Royalton Manor in St. Joseph. A Celebration of Life Service will be held at 10:00 A.M. Wednesday at Trinity Lutheran Church, 619 Market St., St. Joseph. Burial will follow the service at North Shore Memory Gardens. Friends may call from 5:00 until 8:00 P.M. Tuesday at Starks & Menchinger Family Funeral Home, 2650 Niles Rd., St. Joseph. Memorial donations may be made to the Lutheran Hour Ministries. LeRoy is a graduate of St. Joseph High School. LeRoy retired from Michigan Standard Alloys where he worked as a lab technician. He was a lifelong member of Trinity Lutheran Church where he served on the Board of Trustees; was the former Chairperson of the Memorial Trust Fund and a member of the Finance Committee. He also had served as the Treasurer of the Lutheran Layman’s League. LeRoy had many joys in life – his nephew, nieces and family, his church friends, and the University of Michigan football team. LeRoy is survived by his brothers Donald (Arlene) Frobel of Stevensville and Philipp (Loraine) Frobel of St. Joseph and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his father William Charles Frobel, Sr.; his mother Marie (Lambrecht) and a brother William Frobel, Jr..
