Allan W. Jensen

Allan Wayne Jensen, 55, of Coloma, passed away suddenly to be with his Lord and Savior on Wednesday, August 20, 2008 at Lakeland Regional Medical Center, St. Joseph. A Celebration of Life Service will be held on Saturday, August 23, 2008 at 10:00 AM at Starks & Menchinger Family Funeral Home, 2650 Niles Rd; St. Joseph, MI. Pastor Dan Smith of Zion Evangelical United Church of Christ will officiate. Burial will follow at North Shore Memory Gardens, Coloma. Visitation with the family will be on Friday, August 22 from 6:00 to 8:00 PM at the funeral home. Memorial donations may be made to Zion Evangelical UCC or American Lung Association. Those wishing to send the family a message of condolence may do so online at www.starks-menchinger.com. Allan was born on October 7, 1952 to Walt and Wilmarie (Ziebarth) Jensen in Benton Harbor, MI. He was employed at Hardings Grocery Store in Hartford as a meat cutter. Allan served his country in the U.S. Army from 1972-74. He raised two daughters, Lisa and Pamela. He was a member of Zion Evangelical United Church of Christ in St. Joseph. Allan enjoyed to fish, play golf and garden. He will be missed dearly by his family. Allan is survived by his parents, Walter and Wilmarie of Benton Harbor; his daughters, Lisa of St. Joseph, MI and Pamela of Indianapolis, IN; five grand children, Dominic, Leah, Brett, Cody, and Nevaeh; and brother, George (Beverly) Jensen of Portage, MI. He was preceded in death by Cindy Jensen in 2004.
