Larry G. Burkett, 73, passed away Monday, September 29, 2008, at Caretel Inns of Royalton surrounded by members of his family.
A Memorial Service will be held at Scottdale United Methodist Church, 4271 Scottdale Rd., in St. Joseph on Thursday, October 9th at 4:00 P.M. Friends may
Call from 3:00 – 4:00 P.M. just prior to the service at the Church. A private family

Mr. Burkett was born February 24, 1935 in Benton Harbor, MI to Harold & Mary (Snyder) Burkett. He graduated from Benton Harbor High School and attended the
Local community college. On November 7, 1960, he married Lula Hough in Hartford. Larry worked as a Production Manager at Potlatch Paper Products in St. Joseph for many years. Larry was a member of the Benton Harbor Lions Club. In his spare time he enjoyed his family and his dog.
Mr. Burkett is survived by his eight children Patti Burkett of Stevensville, Michael Burkett of East Liverpool, Ohio, James Burkett of Scottsville, Michigan, Mary Jane Herdt (Thomas) of Cheyenne, Wyoming, Gary Burkett (Deb) of St. Joseph, Ronald Burkett (Julie) of Stevensville, Cheryl O’Neal (Gary) of Stevensville and Larry
Burkett (Melissa) of Dublin, Ohio; 21 grandchildren and 10 great-grand Children.
In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his wife Lula and one brother Gerald Burkett.
