Myron's Obituary
Stevensville – Myron K. “Bud” Cupp, 87, of Stevensville, passed away Sunday, September 14, 2008 at the Caretel Inns of Lakeland in St. Joseph.
A Celebration of Life Eternal will be held at 11:30 A.M. Friday at St. Paul’s Lutheran Church 2627 John Beers Rd., Stevensville. Burial will follow in Lincoln Township Cemetery with Military Rites conducted by Coloma American Legion Post #362, VFW Post #1137 of Benton Harbor, VFW Post #6803 of Watervliet & Stevensville American Legion Post #568. Friends may call from 5:00 until 8:00 P.M. Thursday at Starks & Menchinger Family Funeral Home, 2650 Niles Rd., St. Joseph. Memorials may be made to St. Paul’s Lutheran Church or to Man to Man. Mr. Cupp was born February 5, 1920 in St. Joseph to Hiram K. and Verna (Miller) Cupp. He graduated from Stevensville High School in 1939, and was part of the state championship basketball team that year. Myron served his country in the Army Air Force during World War II, stationed in England. On December 15,1945, he married Frances Gast in Stevensville.
Myron was co-owner with his father and brothers of H.K. Cupp and Sons, Inc. (a produce and transport business) in Stevensville. On September 10, 1993, he married Norma Fausak in Stevensville. Bud Cupp was a hard worker all his life and someone who always had time to help people he cared about. He was everybody’s friend.
Mr. Cupp is survived by his wife Norma; his children, Pam Bender of Stevensville, Jim (Louise) Cupp of Novi, Michigan, and Janice Ogonowski of Stevensville; 11 grandchildren; 6 great-grandchildren; his brother Frank (Josephine) Cupp of Stevensville, and his sister-in-law Dorothy Cupp of Stevensville.
He was preceded in death by his parents, his first wife Frances, and his brother Austin.
