Einar David Nelson

Einar David Nelson, 92, died Monday June 30, 2008 at Whitcomb Towers in St. Joseph. A Celebration of Life service will be held at 11:00 AM Thursday, July 3, 2008, at Peace Lutheran Church, 3590 Lincoln Ave. with Rev. Paul Koehneke officiating. Burial will be in Riverview cemetery. Visitation is from 10:00 – 11:00 A.M. Thursday, at the church. Memorials maybe made to Peace Lutheran Church, where he was a charter member. On August 2, 1937 he married Virginia Ladwig in St. Joseph. During his life he was a self employed painter & decorator and enjoyed fishing when time allowed. Einar is survived by Virginia, his wife of 70 years, of St. Joseph; three sons, David (Roberta) Nelson of Chicago, IL.; Dr. Daniel (Judy) Nelson of Harrison, MI; Thomas (Dr. Prudy Barrett) Nelson of Baroda, MI; 8 grandchildren, and 10 great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by a daughter Paula Nelson, son Philip Nelson, a brother Carl Nelson and a sister Alfhild Pintcke
