John W. Almcrantz

John W. “Jack” Almcrantz, 81, of Watervliet, passed away peacefully on Saturday, May 10, 2008, at Community Hospital in Watervliet. A Celebration of Life Service will be held Wednesday, May13, 2008, at 11:00 A.M., at Starks and Menchinger Funeral Home, 2650 Niles Rd, St. Joseph with Father Perez-Diaz officiating. Visitation with the family will be Wednesday morning from 10:30 to 11:00 at the funeral home. Burial will follow at Riverview Cemetery in St. Joseph. He proudly served his county in the U.S. Navy during World War II. Jack devoted his career as an Electrical Engineer to Motorola. He was retired from Motorola after 39 years of service as Vice-president of Sales. Upon retirement, he married Helen Cantwell and lived on Paw Paw Lake where he enjoyed boating and fishing. He was a past member of the Paw Paw Lake Yacht Club. Jack enjoyed designing electrical systems around his home. Jack is survived by his wife Helen. He was preceded in death by his parents.
