Esther Carlock Monte Bielicki

Esther Carlock Monte Bielicki, 75, of St. Joseph, passed away Wednesday, April 23, 2008, at her home. A Celebration of Life Eternal will be held at 11:30 A.M. Saturday at Starks & Menchinger Family Funeral Home, 2650 Niles Rd., St. Joseph with Rev. Carl Pagel officiating. Burial will follow at Spring Run Cemetery in Scottdale. Friends may call from 5:00 until 8:00 P.M. Friday at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society. Mrs. Bielicki was born October 30, 1932 in Herric, Illinois to Walter A. & Myrtle (Walker) Carlock. She graduated from Twin Cities Beauty College and worked for 36 years at various salons in the Benton Harbor-St. Joseph area. Most recently, she owned & operated Esther’s Styling Salon. Even though her health was not the best, she continued to work until 2003. On June 10, 1990, she married Walter G. Bielicki in St. Joseph. Together they spent many hours polka dancing, one of their favorite pastimes. Esther was full of life and always smiling, she enjoyed life. She enjoyed singing and had done so professionally for various occasions. Esther adored Angels, and now she has seen them face to face. She will be greatly missed by all of her family & friends. Mrs. Bielicki is survived by her husband Walter; her children-Deborah (Scott) Hansen, of Charleston, SC, Donita (Gary) Troop of Chicago, IL, Dennis (Pauline) Monte of Riverside, MI, Douglas Monte of Baroda, Mary Sean (Frank) Lavalsit of Brementon, WA, Bernard (Lynda) Bielicki of Prosser WA, Ann Marie Bielicki, Carolyn (Ayric) Osborne, Brian (Jenni) Bielicki, & Benjamin (Shelley) Bielicki all of Huntington Beach, CA; nineteen grandchildren; fifteen great-grandchildren; two sisters-Thelma Fay Tunis of Pensacola, FL, Betty Lou (Earl) Williams of St. Joseph; two brothers-Walter Arnold (Lillian) Carlock of Norfolk, VA, Nelson Eugene (Kathy) Carlock of Arizona; her brother-in-law-Darius (Joni) Bielicki of Tennessee; and several nieces & nephews. Esther was preceded in death by her parents, her first husband Donald John Monte in 1982 & her son Delwyn Lynn Monte in 2000.
