William Jonathan Babor

William “Bill” Jonathan Babor, 47, of Benton Harbor died Sunday, June 8, 2008, at Lakeland Regional Medical Center. A Celebration of Life service will be held 12:30 P.M., Thursday, June 12, 2008, at Starks & Menchinger Family Funeral Home, 2650 Niles Rd., St. Joseph, with Pastor Rob Meckley officiating. Visitation is from 5:30 – 7:30 P.M., Wednesday, at the funeral home. Memorial donations may be made to the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation or the Susan G. Komen Breast Cancer Foundation. Bill married Bonnie Sue Staines on October 20, 1984, in Watervliet, Michigan. He worked at Whirlpool Corporation as a technician. He loved fishing, camping, golfing, bowling and collecting knives. Bill is survived by his wife Bonnie of Benton Harbor; daughter Brandi (Blair) Powers of St. Joseph; mother Cecile Lanier of Benton Harbor; sisters, Joyce Gulbranson of Benton Harbor, and Rosalie (Rick) Jordan of Stevensville, and Lisa (Jim) Williamson of Norfolk, Virginia.
