Edith Eleanor Park

Edith E. “Sis” Park, 91, of Benton Harbor, passed away Sunday, May 11, 2008, at Lakeland Regional Medical Center in St. Joseph. A Memorial Gathering celebrating her life will be held at 7:00 P.M., Thursday, May 15, 2008, at Starks & Menchinger Family Funeral Home, 2650 Niles Rd., St. Joseph. Pastor Jim Stilwell will be officiating the service. Burial will be private. Memorial donations may be made to Sarett Nature Center. She was the fourth generation of her pioneer family to be born in St. Joseph. Edith worked most recently at K-Mart in Benton Harbor. She enjoyed working crossword puzzles, doing needle craft, and reading. Edith is survived by her children, Deana A. (Duke) Forbes of Niles, Jack F.B. (Kathy) Park of Benton Harbor, Lisa Andrasi of Benton Harbor, and John L. (Donna) Andrasi of Benton Harbor; 15 grandchildren; 25 great-grandchildren; and 16 great-great-grandchildren; and by her sisters, Virginia Marschke and Lorraine (Myron) Brunke. In addition to her parents, Edith is preceded in death by her husbands, Forrest Park and John Andrasi; and by her brothers, Raymond Loshbough, and Gordon, Marshall, and Kenneth Ott.
