Betty Jane Busse

Betty Jane Busse, 79, of St. Joseph, Royalton Township, passed away Monday morning, May 26, 2008, at The Willows in St. Joseph. A Celebration of Life Service will be held at 10:00 A.M., Friday, May 30, 2008, at Starks & Menchinger Family Funeral Home, 2650 Niles Road, St. Joseph, with Rev. Carl Pagel officiating. Burial will follow at North Shore Memory Gardens in Coloma. Friends may visit with the family from 9:00 to 10:00 Friday just prior to the service at the funeral home. Betty was born February 10, 1929, New Carlisle, IN. She was one of two children born to Lyman & Josephine Wade. Betty graduated from New Carlisle High School. On April 10, 1959, she married Howard Busse in St. Joseph in Trinity Lutheran Church. She was a long-time member of Grace Lutheran Church in Royalton Township. Together, Betty and her husband owned and operate an antique store for many years. In her leisure time, she enjoyed gardening and crafts. She also enjoyed visiting family and friends. Betty is survived by her husband, Howard of 49 years. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brother, Lyman Wade.
