Elizabeth Lustig

Elizabeth Lustig, 93, of St. Joseph, died May 2, 2008 at Caretel Inns of Lakeland. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 P.M. Chicago time on Monday, May 5, at Westlawn Cemetery Chapel, 7801 W. Montrose Ave., Norridge, Illinois 60706. Burial will follow the services. Memorials may be made to Lakeland Hospice or Temple B’nai Shalom. Elizabeth was born to Aaron David Lerman and Chana (Rosenberg) Lerman. She moved to St. Joseph from Chicago in 2002 to be close to her loving daughter Sharon “Shari” Friedman and son-in-law Hillard Friedman. Elizabeth Lustig is survived by her son Arthur Berman of Chicago, her daughter Sharon “Shari” Friedman of St. Joseph: five grandchildren – Jeremy (Ivy) Friedman, Caryn (Randy) Altman, Ross (Melissa) Berman, Cary (Claudia) Berman, and Kevin (Jill) Berman, eight great-grandchildren and daughter-in-law Betsy Berman, and many nieces and nephews. Mrs. Lustig was preceded in death by her parents, her first husband Charles Berman, her second husband Leon Lustig, and by eight brothers and sisters. Friends are invited to the home of Shari and Hillard Friedman on Tuesday May 6 at 7:30 P.M.
