Deborah Jaggers

Deborah (Hartman) Jaggers, 47 of St. Joseph died at her mother’s home in Benton Harbor on Tuesday May 13, 2008. A Celebration of her life service will be held at 10:00 A.M., Monday, May 19, 2008, at Peace Lutheran Church, 3590 Lincoln Ave., St. Joseph, with Rev. Franz J. Brandenburg and Rev. Paul A. Koehneke officiating. Burial will follow at North Shore Memory Gardens. Friends may call from 4:00- 6:00 PM Sunday at Starks and Menchinger Family Funeral Home 2650 Niles Road St. Joseph. Memorials may be made to Peace Lutheran Church or Animal Aid. Friends wishing to send a condolence message online may do so in the guestbook at www.starks-menchinger.com Deborah was born on June 20, 1960 in Waco, TX, to Harold and Wanda (Barre) Hartman. She was a graduate of Benton Harbor High School in 1978, and attended Michigan State University, Lake Michigan College and received a BS in Accounting from Siena Height University, all while raising her two children. She worked at Berrien County Court House in the Juvenile Business Office for 13 years as well as at H & R Block. She was an avid reader, enjoyed doing crafts and was a member of Varied Arts Club. Deborah was a person with a heart of gold, always happy and cheerful, a mother and friend to her own children’s friends and enjoyed all their company. She was always there for everybody everyday. Deborah is survived by a son Brian Michael (Samantha) Jaggers of Lima , OH; a daughter Sarah Ann Jaggers of St. Joseph; two grandchildren, Calleigh Nicole Jaggers and Alexander James Jaggers; her mother Wanda Hartman of Benton Harbor; brother Dean (Susan) Hartman of St. Joseph; sister, Donna (Glenn) Kruithof of Palm Coast, FL and numerous nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by her father Harold Hartman.
