Linda Sue Barker-Metty

Linda Sue Barker-Metty, 59, of Los Fresnos, Texas, formerly of Watervliet, passed away Thursday, March 27, 2008, at her home in Texas. A Celebration of Life Service will be held at 2:00 P.M., Tuesday, April 1, 2008, at Starks & Menchinger Family Funeral Home 2650 Niles Rd., St. Joseph. Pastor Rev. Marlo Fritzke will officiate the service. Burial will follow at North Shore Memory Gardens in Coloma. Friends may visit with the family Monday evening at the funeral home from 5:00 to 8:00 P.M. Linda was born on June 27, 1948, in Benton Harbor, to Wilma and Forrest Barker. She graduated from Lakeshore High School in 1966. Linda was baptized in the Baptist Church. Linda married Stephen Metty on May 2, 1975. “She enjoyed life and had an outgoing personality.” Linda also loved playing Bingo, Bowling (she even bowled a 300 game), golfing, and going to Las Vegas and cruises with her family. Linda is survived by her husband of 33 years, Stephen Metty; her son, Michael; sisters, Barbara Dannhardt of St. Joseph, Joyce DeLoach of Baroda, and “Jeanie” King of Stevensville. She was preceded in death by her parents, Forrest Barker and Wilma Moore.
