Kenneth Roy Damaske

Kenneth Roy Damaske, 55, was called home on Saturday to be with his Lord and Savior. A Celebration of Life Service will be held at 10 a.m. Wednesday at Peace Lutheran Church,3590 Lincoln Ave, St. Joseph, officiated by Rev. Paul Koehneke of which he was an active member. Burial will be in North Shore Memory Gardens. Visitation will be held Tuesday from 1 to 4 p.m. and 6 to 8 p.m. at Starks and Menchinger Funeral Home located at 2650 Niles Rd. St. Joseph. Ken was born August 6, 1952 in St. Joseph to Albin and Flora (Merz) Damaske. He was employed with Michigan Pizza Hut for 30 years and 6 years prior with the same owner Don White at Wynco Inc.. Ken was rewarded for his dedication and faithfulness to the company by being the first employee ever to receive The Don White lifetime achievement award. Ken was an avid golfer, a hard worker, a dedicated husband, an amazing father, a trustworthy best friend, and above all a compassionate man who loved to help others in any way he could. Ken is survived by his loving wife Jackie Grassl-Damaske his daughter Jennifer Damaske, his son Brett Damaske, his mother Flora Damaske, sisters Christine Damaske and Mrs. David (Coralie) Dirlam; In – Laws Nic and Nancy Zeiger (Linda’s parents); Janet Culp (Linda’s step-mother), mother-in-law Susan(Terry) Edison; father-in-law Raymond (Judy) Grassl. Survivors also include his sidekick Thomas Filer and “his brother” Raymond Damaske. He also left behind a huge team of faithful employees, especially Chris Spears. He was preceded in death by his wife Linda Damaske in 1994, his father Albin Damaske in 1991, and his sister Kathleen Damaske in 1988.
