Donna's Obituary

Donna Mak, 66, of Saint Joseph, passed away with her family present on Saturday, January 26, 2008 at home. A Celebration of Life Service will be held at 11:00 A.M. on Wednesday, January 30, 2008, at Trinity Lutheran Church, 609 Court St, St. Joseph, MI with Rev. Thomas Batsky officiating. Burial will follow at Riverview Cemetery. Family will receive friends for a time of visitation on Tuesday, January 29 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Starks & Menchinger Family Funeral Home 2650 Niles Road, St. Joseph, MI. Memorial contributions may be made to Trinity Lutheran Church, Lakeland Hospice or Stevensville American Legion. Friends wishing to leave a message of condolence, or to sign the family guestbook, may do so at www.starks-menchinger.com Donna was born on February 11, 1941 in Lakeland, Florida to Clarence and Sadie (Williams) Nail. She was a retired supervisor with Zenith Corp in St. Joseph after 32 years. She married her loving husband, Richard in St. Joseph, on December 6, 1963. She was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church. She belonged to the Stevensville American Legion, Benton Harbor VFW 1137 Auxiliary, and Benton Harbor Moose F.O.P 96. Donna was an avid bowler serving on the board of The Southwest Michigan Women’s Association. Donna loved going to the casino and traveling. She also enjoyed gardening and planting her flowers. Donna was very active up until her last day. She is survived by her 2 brothers, Oscar Bob Nail of Stevensville, Rev. George Larry Nail (Sharon) of Coloma. She is survived by many cousins, nephews and nieces. She is preceded in death by her parents – Clarence and Sadie and 13 brothers and sisters.
