Alice A. Ankli

Alice A. Ankli, 79, of St. Joseph died Thursday, January 24, 2008 at her home surrounded by her family. A Celebration of Life Service will be held at 11:00 A.M. Monday, at Starks & Menchinger Family Funeral Home, 2650 Niles Rd. with Rev. Dan Smith officiating. Burial will follow at Riverview cemetery. She was a graduate of Benton Harbor High School in 1946. She married David W. Ankli on November 10, 1951 in Sodus, at Chapel Hill United Methodist Church. She is survived by three daughters Debra (Ron) Bauer of Oviedo FL, Stefani (Bob) Conner of St. Joseph, Lissa (Scott) Mathews of Bristow, VA; a son David (Patti) Ankli of Chuluota, FL; Ten Grandchildren – Alissa Malakan, Jennifer Conner, Steven and Daniel Bauer, Margaret, David, Sarah and Amy Ankli, Emma and Bethany Mathews; a sister Bert Vladic of Berrien Center; and a brother James (Rose) Bordon of Pharr, TX. She was preceded in death by her husband David on December 6, 1982, and brothers Albert and Albie Bordon.
