Kathleen Ann Mueller, 65, of St. Joseph, MI, passed away Sunday, December 30, 2007, at Lakeland Hospital, St. Joseph.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Friday, Jan. 4, 2007, 10:30a.m., at St. Bernard Catholic Church, Benton Harbor, MI, with Rev. William Jacobs, Jr. officiating. Burial will follow at Riverview Cemetery, St. Joseph. Visitation will be on Thursday, Jan. 3, from 4:00-7:30p.m., with the rosary recited at 7:30p.m., at the Starks & Menchinger Family Funeral Home, 2650 Niles Rd., St. Joseph, MI. Memorial contributions may be made to the St. Bernard Women’s Ministry, or to Hospice At Home. Kathleen was born on January 10, 1942, in Benton Harbor, MI, to Edwin and Leona (Geipel) Ziegert. On September 10, 1977, she married Raymond Henry Mueller. Kathleen received an associates degree in Interior Design, and was current owner/operator of K. Mueller Design of St. Joseph. She was very gifted, artistic, and accomplished in architectural design. Kathleen was also the former owner/operator of The Lambs Wool, where she taught needlepoint. She was a member of St. Bernard Catholic Church, a member of Old St. Joseph Neighborhood Preservation Association, and a member of ASID. She was also an avid gardener. Kathleen was very selfless, always putting others first, no matter if family, friend, or stranger.
She is survived by her husband, Raymond; her son, Chris (Heidi) Dubach; two grandchildren, Danielle Crumb and Nicholas Dubach; four brothers, Carl (Pam) Ziegert of Baroda, Mark (Cheryl) Ziegert of Sawyer, Richard (Jimena) Ziegert, and Kevin Ziegert, both of St. Joseph; a sister, Bonnie (William) Howard of Stevensville; and an aunt, Adeline Sheldon of Three Oaks.
