On August 24, 1946 she married Anthony B. Cesaroni in Stevensville. They had met while Tony was in France on his tour of duty in the US Navy. Germaine was one of the first “War Brides” in this area. Following retirement, Germaine & Anthony spent many years traveling throughout the United States and Europe, and spent their winter months in Fort Myers, Florida. She enjoyed French & Italian cooking, Crepes being her specialty. Germaine also enjoyed golfing, reading, walking, and tending to her flower & vegetable gardens. Most important to her was the time she spent with her family. She was a loving & caring wife & mother to her husband, daughters & sons-in-law. She was an inspiration to everyone, especially those she met during her illness. She always had a positive attitude. Germaine will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her. Germaine is survived by her two daughters and their husbands, who she referred to as “her boys” Diane (John) Sink of St. Joseph, and Darlene (David) Dongvillo of Whitehall, MI; several nieces & nephews in Europe including Rennee & Serge Tietard; and a special friend for many, many years-Jacqueline Reynolds of Wickenburg, AZ, formerly of France. She was preceded by her husband Anthony on March 28, 2006, by her brother George & two sisters-Lea & Marie.
