Kathleen's Obituary

Kathleen Faye Woodward, 55, of Benton Harbor, passed away on Saturday, November 24, 2007. A Memorial Funeral Service will be held on Friday, November 30, 2007, at 11:00 A.M. at the First Church of the Nazarene, 3351 Niles Road, in St. Joseph, with Pastor Dean Pickett officiating. Burial will follow at Graceland Cemetery in Bridgman. Memorials may be made to the family. Floral arrangements may be sent directly to the church. Kathleen was born December 26, 1951, in Menominee, Michigan. She was one of 13 children born to Elmer & Laura Schwark. Kathleen was married and widowed twice. Both Wayne Hutchinson and Myron Woodward preceded her in death. She had 8 children. Kathleen worked at Meijer in Benton Harbor. She was an avid out-doors person who particularly enjoyed gardening, fishing, and camping. Kathleen adored Elvis Presley and his music. She was known to her friends and family as a “work-a-holic who also had quite a funny sense of humor.” Above all, Kathleen cherished time spent with her children and grandchildren. Kathleen is survived by her children, April Hutchinson of Benton Harbor, Kathy (Jay) Sunday of Texas, Bethany Taylor of Benton Harbor, Emi (Johnny) Hutchinson-Wert of St. Joseph, Donna Crowder of Indiana, Bonnie Woodward, Jason Woodward, and Adam Guess each of Stevensville; grandchildren, Dustin, Sierra, Jasmine, Arianna, Makya, Elora, Justice, and Hailey; and by several brothers and sisters. Kathleen was preceded in death by her parents and by her two husbands.
