William's Obituary

William B. Cesaroni, 91, of Stevensville, passed away on Monday, September 17, 2007, at Lakeland Regional Medical Center in St. Joseph. A Celebration of Life Service will be held at 1:00 P.M., on Thursday, September 20, 2007, at Starks & Menchinger Funeral Home, 2650 Niles Road, St. Joseph with Rev. Krehl Stringer officiating. Burial will take place in Hickory Bluff Cemetery in Stevensville. Friends may call Thursday 11:00 A.M. until 1:00 P.M at the funeral home. William was born to Oswaldo and Ida (Spinucci) Cesaroni on October 14, 1915 in Chicago, Illinois. On September 21, 1940, he married the former Lena Cavalini in Chicago. William served his country in the U.S. Army during World War II. He was employed at Whirlpool Corporation for 32 years retiring in 1973. William was the first head chef at Tosi’s Restaurant where he worked evenings for 20 years. He was a member of Stevensville American Legion Post # 568. He loved cooking both professionally and for family and friends. In his spare time, he loved fishing, gardening and his winters spent in Florida. William is survived by Lena, his wife of 68 years; his daughter, Clem Brueck of St. Joseph; his son, Bill (Jessica) Cesaroni of Glenview, IL; 3 grandchildren, Jason (Annie) Brueck of East Charleston, VT, Nicole (Victor) Coar of St. Joseph, and Jacqueline Cesaroni of Chicago, IL; and 5 great grandchildren. William was preceded in death by his parents; 5 siblings; a son-in-law, Dennis Brueck; and his nephew, Philip Puleo, Jr.
