Marie Pecoraro Sineni

Marie P. Sineni, 94, formerly of Benton Harbor, MI, passed away peacefully at Royalton Manor, on Saturday, September 29, 2007. Arrangements have been entrusted with Starks & Menchinger Family Funeral Home, St. Joseph, MI. A Mass of Christian Burial celebrating her life will be held on Tuesday, October 2, 10:30a.m., at St. John’s Catholic Church, Benton Harbor, MI, with Father William Jacobs, Jr. officiating. Burial will follow at Calvary Catholic Cemetery, Benton Harbor. Visitation will be on Monday, October 1, from 5:00-7:00p.m., with a Rosary at 7:00p.m., at the Starks and Menchinger Family Funeral Home, St. Joseph. Memorial contributions may be made to S/S John’s, Bernard’s Parish or to the St. Joseph Catholic Church in Watervliet, MI. She married Joseph Sineni on November 27, 1937, at St. John’s Catholic Church in Benton Harbor. He preceded her in death on March 15, 1982. After her retirement from the former VM Corporation in Benton Harbor, Marie wintered in Florida with her husband. Besides enjoying spending time with her family, Marie was an avid card and bingo player, enjoyed short trips with her many friends, and just enjoyed life to its fullest. Marie lived a very long and healthy life up until a few years ago. Her family asks you to celebrate her life, not her death, by remembering her in your prayers as she enters the arms of our God and His Mother. A caring and loving mother and grandmother, she leaves behind to cherish the fondest of memories, her two devoted daughters, Mary Jo (Bailey) Sineni of Coloma, and Pat (Phil) Damico of Benton Harbor; and her loving grandchildren, Chris Sineni, and Frank, Joe, and Amy Damico; and one brother, Paul Pecoraro of Riverside, MI; and several nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by her parents-John and Josephine, a sister-Marian Anzalone, and brothers-Sam, Dominic, Joseph and Nathan.
