Helen's Obituary

Helen Elizabeth Wilson, 80, formerly of St. Joseph passed away on Monday, September 3, 2007, at Heartland Nursing Home in Grandville. Helen was born September 8, 1926 to Roy and Dovie May (Young) Wooten in Truman, Arkansas. She was a nurse’s aid most of her life and a homemaker. Helen was a strong and courageous woman living life to the fullest with a great passion for life and doing what was right and doing the best with what she had for her family. She was sensitive yet determined in her love for her family; she will be greatly missed by all who was touched by her love and generosity. Visitation will be held on Wednesday, September 5 from 6:00 P.M. 8:00 P.M at the funeral home. A Celebration of Life Service will be held on Thursday at 11:00 A.M at Oakridge Baptist Church, 766 Oakridge Drive, St. Joseph with Pastor Dave Broome officiating and burial to follow in Hickory Bluff Cemetery. Memorial donations may be made to Oakridge Baptist Church c/o the funeral home. Friends and family wishing to sign the online guest book may do so at www.starks-menchinger.com Helen is survived by her three sons, Roy (Laverne) Boswell of Stevensville, Don (Shirley) Boswell of Live Oak, FL, and Bruce (Margarita) Boswell of Grand Rapids MI; one daughter-in-law, Mrs. Linda (Jimmy) Boswell; three step sons and two step daughters; eighteen grandchildren and numerous great and great-great grandchildren. Helen was preceded in death by her parents; her first husband of 54 years, B.W. Boswell; her second husband, Charley in 2006 and one son, Jimmy.
