John Edward Pullins, Sr., 62, of Benton Harbor, passed away on Tuesday, December 11, 2007, at Lakeland Regional Medical Center in St. Joseph. There will be no funeral services and interment will be private. Starks & Menchinger Family Funeral Home has been entrusted with the arrangements. John was born to Emmitt and Mary Jane Pullins on January 30, 1945, in Benton Harbor. He married Mildred Freemyer on November 17, 1967, in Buchanan, MI. Together they had two sons, John, Jr. and Mark. John worked for over 35 years at Anstey Foundry as a foundry worker. John enjoyed hunting, fishing, model building, and doing body work on cars in his leisure time. John is survived by his wife Mildred of 40 years; sons, John, Jr.(Lisa) and Mark Pullins, both of Benton Harbor; brothers, Charles of Watervliet and Robert, both of Benton Harbor; and by his sisters, Pat Pullins and Betty (Bill) Freemyer both of Hagar Shores. In addition to his parents, John was preceded in death by his brothers, Alex and Walter Pullins and by his sister, Rosemary Drue.
