Wynnafred J. Gazi

Wynnafred J. Gazi, 95, of Berrien Springs, passed away on Tuesday, August 21, 2007, at Berrien Specialty Hospital in Berrien Center. Friends may visit with the family from 2-4 P.M., on Sunday, August 26, 2007, at Kerley-Starks & Menchinger Family Funeral Home, 2650 Niles Rd., St. Joseph. Private burial of ashes will take place at a later date in Arlington Hills Cemetery, in Bangor. Memorial donations may be made to the charity of the donor’s choice. Friends may send the family a condolence message or sign the guest book on-line at www.starks-menchinger.com. Wynnafred was born on May 4, 1912, in Bangor to Byron and Alice (Guest) Harris. She spent most of her life in Bangor where she met and married Steve Gazi in 1930. After her husband’s death she spent a few years in Buchanan and Kalamazoo before she settled in Berrien Springs. Wynnafred is survived by her children, Dave (Norma) Gazi of CA, Phil (Carola) Gazi of FL, Mike (Mary) Gazi of Kalamazoo, and Charlotte (Marion) Stover of Berrien Springs; twenty grandchildren; thirty-nine great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild; two sisters; and one brother. Wynnafred was preceded in death by her husband in 1970.
