Helen Elsie Koshar

Helen E. Koshar, 85, formerly of St. Joseph, MI, passed away at Park Place Assisted Living, Kalamazoo, MI, on Sunday, September 9, 2007. Graveside services will be held at 3:30 P.M. Tuesday at Riverview Cemetery with Rev. Paul A. Koehneke officiating. Friends may call following the services from 4:00 P.M. – 5:00 P.M. Tuesday at Starks & Menchinger Family Funeral Home, 2650 Niles Rd., St. Joseph. Memorial contributions may be made to Hospice Care of South West Michigan, 222 N. Kalamazoo Mall, Suite 100, Kalamazoo, MI, 49007. Helen was born December 7, 1921, in St. Joseph, MI, to Alfred and Olga (Schmidtke) Bischoff. Helen was a member of Peace Lutheran Church, St. Joseph, Michigan. Helen is survived by her children, Judy (Rudy) Kruger of Ellijay, GA, Rudy (Judy) Koshar, Jr. of Madison, WI, and Russel (Snezana) Koshar of Kalamazoo, MI; and seven grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents-Alfred and Olga, and an infant brother George Bischoff.
