Frances's Obituary

Frances Aliene Angelo, a loving, caring, kind and giving woman of 83 years of age, went to be with our Lord Jesus Christ on September 29, 2007. She was a devoted wife of 65 years to Joseph Angelo, Sr.; a loving mother to daughter Janice Angelo Hild, son Joseph “Joey” Angelo, Jr. and his wife Helen Rohm Angelo; a wonderful grandmother to grandchildren Deborah Hild and her husband Steven Warren, Phillip Hild, Holly Angelo, Joseph Anthony Michael Angelo, and Ryan Angelo, a caring sister to Lily Lents, Mary Wheeler and Donald Finehout; a kind aunt to many nieces and nephews; and a friend to many. She was preceded in death by her father, mother and five sisters. Frances’ favorite pastime was playing bingo with family and friends both in Benton Harbor and South Bend. A celebration of her life will be held at 1:00 P.M. Saturday, October 13 at Starks & Menchinger Family Funeral Home, 2650 Niles Rd., St. Joseph with Pastor Doral Jackson officiating. In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that donations be made to the Berrien County Cancer Service, 7301 Red Arrow Highway, Stevensville, an organization that provides hands-on care for cancer patients in homes free of charge. Those wishing to share a memory or sign the guest book online may do so at www.starks-menchinger.com. The family would also like to express great gratitude and a very special thank you to Dr. Michael W. Method, MD, MPH, FACS, FACOG, nurses and staff at his St. Joseph office, and to all the 10th floor oncology nurses at South Bend Memorial Hospital for their extraordinary care and compassion.
