Robert Edward Schroeder

Robert Edward Schroeder, 66, of St. Joseph, passed away on Saturday, August 25, 2007, at his home. A Celebration of Life Service will be held at 1:00 P.M., on Wednesday, August 29, 2007, at Kerley-Starks & Menchinger Family Funeral Home, 2650 Niles Rd., St. Joseph with Rev. Wade Blankenship officiating. Burial will follow in Hickory Bluff Cemetery in Stevensville. Friends may visit with the family from 5-8 P.M., on Tuesday, August 28, at the funeral home. Robert was born to Robert and Arlene Schroeder on November 18, 1940 in Royalton Township. He graduated from Lakeshore High School in 1959. On September 12, 1959 he married the love of his life Anna “Fay” Mitchell in Baroda and they were married for almost 48 years. He worked at Lakeshore Body Shop in Stevensville for 10 years until he was disabled by a falling accident in 1978. He enjoyed fishing in Singer Lake and the St. Joseph River. Robert was a loving husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather who will be missed by all. Robert is survived by his wife, Fay; sons, Terry and John Schroeder of Stevensville; daughters, Kim (Terry) Sebastion of St. Joseph and Jodie (Greg) Sears of Hartford; three granddaughters; seven grandsons; and seven great-grandsons. Robert was preceded in death by his parents; daughter, Carrie “Sissy” Schroeder; and brother, Donald Schroeder.
